Cyrano’s Belt
2016 | HD – Video | 7.30 min
Already in the middle of the 17th century, French author Cyrano de Bergerac described a journey to the moon. To overcome gravitational forces, he invented a belt to which he attached a number of small bottles. These glass containers were filled with morning dew and then heated by sunlight. Equipped in this way, moon travelers could reach the terrestrial satellite. The video takes the idea and offers a DIY-workshop where interested people can learn how to create the belt by themselves.
