Dernier Cri

2004 | Site specific sound installation | K&K Kiosk Zentrum für Kunst und Mode, Sophienstiftsplatz, Weimar

K & K Kiosk at a crossroads in Weimar

In the world of fashion, dernier cri describes the newest and most fashionable look instead of its actual French meaning, final breath. In this installation, this term was taken literally and passer byes of the K&K Kiosk in Weimar heard the digital sound of human screams coming out of the building. In addition, the windows were covered with reflective film. An emergency phone was installed on the outside wall.
